Flooded

The weather shifts quite fast. The rain has almost washed away all snow now. Not for long though, the snow will return on Sunday. However, at present the grounds are saturated with water, and in the low parts flooded.

As I passed a flooded area, I couldn’t avoid noticing the beauty in the reflection of the bare trees in the water. Even if Spring is far away, that puddle gave me a foretaste of it. I think the bluetits, great tits, marsh tits and all the other wild birds had a similar feeling, as they sang more forefully along the way.

In the sun

It is always lovely to take a long evening walk after rain. The damp air made the sun beams visible. Toby found himself in the light, apparently very interested in something, but all of a sudden he was off again down in the ditch. I love these short moments of beauty which leaves a mark in my soul for a long time.

Rainy days

There is something wondrous about spring rain. It is as if the plants delight in breathing the water vapour, drinking water with their leaves. The air is saturated by uncountable odours. These days I love to take a run in the forest. In there the smell of wet moss dominates together with the soft aroma of sap rising in the birches.
